Why not look your best? Get those age spots removed!

With radio-frequency technology we can remove that unsightly age spot for you with minimal to no scar and in less than thirty minutes.

Looking younger may hinge less on a lineless complexion and more on a clear one: Research shows that uneven skin tone can add about a decade to your perceived age. So while you've been heaping attention — and night creams — on wrinkles to turn back the clock, other factors like age spots, redness, enlarged pores, and adult acne might be putting those years back on. The bright side: Uneven skin tone is easier to correct.

Our doctors will use the most advanced radiosurgical technology and the only radiosurgical device approved for operating room surgical procedures. The new technology known as radio-wave surgery can also remove age spots, benign moles, skin tags, and related lesions of the head and neck. This is a newer procedure receiving a lot of positive hype among skin professionals and the public. The radio-wave technology creates radio-waves (yes, just like your AM and FM radio) and uses them to melt away the age spot.

While we cannot guarantee that a patient will have no scar after the procedure is done, many times, when the patient returns for a follow up examination, neither the patient nor the doctor can recall where the age spot was because the scar is practically, if not wholly, nonexistent. Of the thousands of age spots, moles and skin tags we have removed on the head and neck, we have yet to have a patient complain that the scar was worse than the lesion itself.

With modern day technology the procedure to remove age spots is now fast, painless, and affordable.

How RF Age Spot Removal Works:

To further explain how the procedure works—laser technique uses light waves at high-temperature and low frequency waves; whereas radio-wave frequency surgery does the opposite—it uses low temp, high temp energy waves in the radio bandwidth. By creating a high frequency radio wave energy signal, the doctor can use the signal to incise, excise or coagulate tissues.

Radiofrequency surgery was first used in the past with much success for removing abnormalities associated with anal-rectal procedures such as hemorrhoid, anal fistula and anal polyps, to name a few. Using the radiowave technique, alternating radio wave frequencies connect with another active electrode placed on the patient’s affected area. The dispersive electrodes cause heat and friction, killing the cells, proliferating new cell growth. Temperatures have to be between 60 and 1000º C for the procedure to be effective.

It was concluded that since radiowave surgery revolutionized the world of proctologic surgical procedures, radiowaves could be used in other medical specialties, especially dermatologic by removing unsightly skin lesions such as age spots, moles and skin tags.

The beginning experiments were successful and now radiowave frequency surgery is an accredited, accepted practice used by skin specialists across the globe for removing unsightly lesions that appear or grow on top the skin’s surface.

Getting rid of age Spots has never been easier and more affordable!

For patients who want to achieve the best results for their time and money, radio-wave surgery is highly recommended. Remember that tissue penetration and removal occurs at the most shallow level possible, resulting in less damage to surrounding tissues, resulting in minimal scar tissue formation. With this technique there is little to no pain, stitches, bleeding, post-operative swelling or infection. Convalescence is nearly automatic, hours after the procedure is completed. The procedure itself is done in the comfort of the doctor’s office and takes only 30 to 90 minutes depending on the scope of project. If there are many age spots it will naturally take longer. If there are few age spots, the procedure could only take 30 minutes at which time you will be rewarded with excellent cosmetic results. For those seriously considering this procedure there are a few factors to keep in mind. This is considered cosmetic surgery, so you may want to check the services that are covered by your insurance carrier before trying to make a claim. Prices are reasonable; however, and we will try to work out a payment plan schedule that will be conducive to the patient and this office.

If you have unsightly age spots on your face, neck, and other areas of the body, we can remove that unsightly age spot for you with minimal to no scar and in less than thirty minutes.

Over-the-Counter Products vs the Latest in Radiowave Surgery Procedure for Removing Age Spots

Age spots are those superficial brown blemishes that appear on our face, neck and hands as we grow older. Science maintains that as we grow older we lack pigment or lack the melanin in our pigmentation to fight off the effects of the sun, hence age or sun spots appear. People whose complexions are considered fair or light, having less melanin may develop more obvious sun or age spots over time. For many people, however, regardless how the age spots happened, they simply want to make the unsightly lesions go away.

There are several products that can be purchased over-the-counter. Each claim it is capable of removing age spots, but buyers beware. If it sounds too good to be true, than it most surely is not a product you can trust to deliver on its claims.

One website http://www.agespotsremoval.org/ researched three products. The site confirms that each will make all your age spots go away. The site’s administrators state that it researched customer reviews, scientific studies and ingredient quality, in addition to comparing prices and effectiveness before recommending the following three “age spot removals” as having the
highest ratings:

1. Prototype #37-C, priced at $279.99 or $149.95 online, is the first product in the list and was given high marks. According to the site’s team of experts, the product blends natural peptides with natural hyaluronic acid. They refer to this formula as “amazing.” The claims include that the product can “turn over skin cells,” thicken the epidermis, and increase the skin'snatural production of collagen and elastin for stronger, healthier, and more beautiful skin, completely free of age spots.

2. Prevera, priced at $99.99 or $29.99 online, combines several high-grade peptides, each in considerable amounts, along with additional antioxidants and moisturizers, giving this product high marks, also. This product is even capable of easily increasing the skin's ability to take care of itself and renew itself, according to the site’s recommendation.

3. Dermavexin, priced at $199.99 or $125, is, according to the site, one of the best “spot treatments.” Dermavexin uses “stem cell technology” to replace old, dead, or damaged skin cells with “new and completely uncompromised skin cells for new, even, beautiful skin.”

One common ingredient that all three products have in common and the reason the products are successful for removing age spots are the “natural peptides,” found in each, which help to, according to the site’s expert evaluators, increase collagen and elastin.

It was not clear, however, what exactly peptides are, but if you are interested in any of the above mentioned products, research the product thoroughly before spending a lot of money on a treatment that is going to leave you without results or, worse, with results that only maximize the problem instead of making the problem go away.

In addition, making claims such as increasing the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin or using “stem cell” technology to replace old dead cells are medical claims that should not be taken seriously unless the products were endorsed by a licensed physician, but that is not the case for any of the above mentioned products.

It is recommended that before embarking on any form of therapy whether it be an over the counter solution or something more intense such as dermabrasion or laser surgery for removing age spots, talk to your doctor.

Even though radiowave surgery is a big decision, it may save you money and a lot of emotional discouragement in the long term. The newest form of laser surgery on the market today, radiowave frequency, is a proven winner in the fight against age spots.

This procedure, though fairly new, has received high marks from experts in the file of dermatology, as the procedure that will in fact permanently remove age spots without the discomfort of most surgical procedures.

So, again, before embarking on any form of therapy, check with our doctor during your FREE consultation.

An over-the-counter remedy may be a temporary answer but the results will not last. If it is permanent, lasting results that you desire, chances are the latest and newest technique on the market, coming to our center maybe the right decision for a future free of unsightly dark marks marring your appearance.

Age Spot Removal - Options for Removing Age Spots

Now that you have come to terms with those unattractive pigmented patches, better known as age spots, that have erupted on your face neck and hands, the decision to have them removed is an easy one.

Removing age spots over time has become a relatively simple process. The most common techniques for removing facial imperfections that come with age or because of a medical diagnosis include chemical peels, dermabrasion and IPL™ Photorejuvenation treatments. These procedures can all be effective, but there is another technique gaining more popularity called radiowave frequency surgery, a laser technique. Doctors are embracing this procedure because the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages compared to other options.

Comparing the most popular techniques to the most recent laser technique, there are benefits and disadvantages characteristic to them all. It is up to you and your doctor to decide which technique would be the safest and most effective for you for treating age spots and other surface damage to the skin.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are usually an outpatient procedure, having immediate results for reducing fine lines, acne scars and discoloration due to pigmentation imbalance.

Chemical peels consist of an acid solution placed on the face after which time the damaged outer layer of the skin is removed. The peel helps to enhance the texture of the skin by giving it a glowing, healthy, smooth appearance. This procedure is effective for helping to remove facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation.

There is usually little to no healing time after having a chemical peel, though you may experience a little redness or irritation immediately following the treatment. The appearance of age spots or sun spots will usually be improved, but it should be noted, this is not a procedure that will permanently remove the signs age spots. They will be faded, at best.

The cost of chemical peels vary from state to state, but the price can reach into the thousands depending upon if it is a “light” chemical peel or a “deep” chemical peel. Depending on where you live and additional expenses such as anesthesia, use of a surgical facility, and a possible hospital stay, will all factor into the overall price.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion appeals to a lot of people because it is a fairly fast procedure with noticeable results. The technique involves the removal of the outermost layer of facial skin laden with dry, dead skin cells, with a motorized tool that has a rough wire brush attached. The surgeon uses the tool to scrape to the safest level wear scarring, wrinkling and discoloration can be safely removed, leaving your face, much like the chemical peel, smooth, unblemished, with a healthy glow.

After the procedure, most people experience redness and swelling, however. Eating and talking may be difficult and there will probably be some discomfort such as a burning or aching sensation. This procedure, although results may mean an improvement, the convalescence period is longer and infection is also a consideration since so much new bare skin is exposed to the elements.

Eventually a scab or crust will form and eventually the scab will fall away as a new layer of skin forms.

Since this is an in depth invasive procedure prices can also reach into the thousands, depending on the area and how invasive the surgeon has to go to achieve the best results. If all goes well, however, many people are elated after the healing process has ended and they are left with a more youthful, smooth complexion.
IPL™ Photofacial/Fotofacial

This procedure is highly recommended for people afflicted by the effects of sun damage, rosacea and hyperpigmentation, to name a few. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™) photofacial/ fotofacial procedure is referred as a “gentle skin rejuvenation” therapy, which, like radiowave frequency surgery, is now easier than ever to have done.

This technique is one of the latest in modern dermatology, catering to those patients who have suffered with the embarrassing facial appearance of having constant redness and blotchiness. This technique has been successful at leaving those who are most afflicted with smooth, radiant skin after the procedure is completed.

This procedure is normally done in 30-minute, but patients may need a series of procedures before reaching a treatment plateau. The surgeon uses intense pulses of light to penetrate the skin, thereby constricting the blood vessels below the epidermis. This procedure reduces redness and age lines. The patient feels little to no discomfort. But the results are not immediate. Most benefits of a photofacial/fotofacial occur gradually in the weeks following the procedure.

The overall cost will depend on the severity of the patient’s sun damage, rosacea, hyperpigmentation or other affliction, as well as the number of treatments needed for optimal results.

Radiowave Frequency Surgery for Removing Age Spots

Radiowave technology is the most innovative procedure gaining popularity in the world of dermatology. It is highly successful at removing unsightly growths and permanent lesions like age spots that have manifested over time. Facial imperfections can be removed, resulting in smoother, more attractive skin, without the hassle of more invasive procedures like dermabrasion.

Radiowave technology depends on high-frequency energy, cosmetic-enhancing incisions. The procedure takes less than an hour, in many cases, and the entire afflicted area can be covered in one visit. The time it takes to fully recover could take only hours to just a few days. There is little to no bleeding and little or no bruising or swelling.

The biggest advantage with this procedure compared to others is that it produces the best results in the least amount of time, as patients heal quickly and can begin enjoying the results almost immediately after the procedure is performed.

Radiowave procedures, although still fairly new, have been proven be to be effective on many types of skin imperfections, age spots being among them. Other facial and skin imperfections in addition to age spots for which radiowave procedures have been used successfully are moles and raised lesions, warts, skin tags and rosace, to name a few of the most common skin irregularities.

Unfortunately since this is a new state-of-the-art procedure performed by highly trained individuals, the price can be expensive, but considering the procedure will have permanent results, little to no discomfort, noticeable results almost immediately after the procedure is finished, it may be worth the extra money to seriously consider this option.

Before making any decision, however, first discuss the options with your doctor so he or she can go over the pros and cons of each procedure. In the end, the decision will come down to the best possible option for your particular facial imperfection needs.

The Inevitability of Age Spots

Nothing screams a person’s age louder than the dark splotches that appear on the face, hands
and body, better known as age, sun or liver spots, as we become older. The face, neck and back
of the hands are those most affected because these are the areas that have been well exposed to
the sun throughout a our lifetime. With age and the breakdown of melanin, the chemical in skin
responsible for sunlight protection, spots develop most obviously in these areas first, leaving the
unsightly brown patches.

Those brownish spots that form over time are due to several factors such as the skin’s loss of
elastin and collagen, the two components that, in youth, keeps skin fresh and young. The number
one factor, however, is sun exposure, which is why you may have heard growing up that the sun
is bad for your skin. Actually, the sun is not bad for the skin; the fact is no living creature can
live without sun exposure.

Sun or UV rays are necessary for the body’s natural production of Vitamin D. Everyone needs
Vitamin D to help strengthen bones and teeth and, very importantly, to build immunity to fight
disease such as rickets or types of cancer such as skin or colon.

But over time and as we age, sun damage becomes more of a risk. It is probably a good idea to
stay out of the sun for long periods of time as we become older to avoid the inevitability, for
many, of acquiring age, sun spots.

Age spots usually appear after age fifty. For some, the spots may be minimal, but for others,
brown patches can go from a couple to many in a matter of a few years, and they are not
attractive and another reminder that age is becoming a factor in the way we look and the way we
look to other people.

For many it is hard to admit that we are growing older, which can have emotional setbacks for a
more vain individual or for the person who has always taken pride in physical appearance. Sun
spots can tear down our self-esteem and self-confidence. So if age spots have left you feeling sad
and older, fortunately there are solutions.

How to Remove And Get Rid of Age Spots

Today there are ways to combat the effects of aging and sun spots in particular. Laser surgery
for the permanent and painless removal of age spots should be seriously considered. Laser
techniques have grown by leaps and bounds. Doctors are well equipped with the knowledge
to perform the most state-of-the-art procedure, referred to as radio-wave surgery, designed
to successfully remove the dark lesions from all the affected areas, without evidence that a
procedure was ever done—no scarring.

Radio surgery is the treatment method that more professionals are relying upon nowadays for the
safe removal of age spots. Scarring is virtually non-existent. Convalescence is timely. The area
heals over in a few days, leaving little trace that the lesion was ever there.

R.F. Age Spot Removal

Age spot removal using today's newest technology has been proven to be the ideal method for age spot removal regardless of the different qualities of the age spot like size, shape, and color. When radiowaves are used instead of a scalpel or a laser, only the skin cells immediately next to the wire electrode are affected. Radiosurgery is even more delicate and precise than laser surgery. Scarring is minimized or eliminated with radiosurgery because the skin is vaporized instead of cut.  Our doctors use a radiosurgical loop to shave the age spot down layer by layer to the level of the surrounding skin. No suture is required.

We also use radiofrequency surgery to treat spider veins on the face, acne, sebaceous hyperplasia, lentigos, skin tags and moles, and other superficial skin lesions. Cosmetic results are excellent for many types of skin blemishes; many celebrities have been taking advantage of this extremely effective technique.
